Welcome to Beach Boyz Wrestling!
The purpose of Beach Boyz Wrestling Club (BBWC) is to develop the novice wrestler in the fundamentals of wrestling and hone the skills of the more experienced wrestler. BBWC is open to all wrestlers, from 1st grade through 12th grade. Participation with BBWC not only develops a more skilled wrestler, but also a more agile, flexible, and healthier athlete. Beach Boyz Wrestling Club also provides a safe environment with all club practices taking place in the mat room at First Colonial High School.
Our coaching staff is headed up by William Stravino. Coach Stravino is the varsity head coach at First Colonial High School and he is assisted by the First Colonial junior varsity coach, Rodney Johnson, as well as Aaron Fuller, Chris Maynor, Ryan Bereng, and Trey Freeman. Together, these coaches work to meet each individual wrestler at their own skill level while at the same time, challenge the group as a whole. For more information about our coaches, please click here.
Club practices include physical conditioning, technique, skill instruction, and team building. Practices are twice weekly with times depending on experience level and age. Elementary school (beginner) sessions are Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00-6:00pm. Middle and High school (intermediate-advanced) sessions are Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm. The wrestling room is located off the main gym by the tennis courts, on the right side of the school.
